For me, movies just hang after about 20 minutes. Nothing can wake the machine from the movie. I finally gave in and bought myself a cheap portable for about $100. It's exactly what I was looking for anyway. I was experiencing strange audio problems with Halo about a month ago, but they're gone again and things are working fine. Overall it has been a great machine for the money. I've been creating DVDs with Adobe Premiere Elements without any problems. I have been experiencing problems with movies, but not in the manner that you’re describing. For me, movies just hang after about 20 minutes. Nothing can wake the machine from the movie.
